Where my girls at?

The girls and I went to P-town back in May and spent both nights at the same club/bar where they had these two songs on repeat that we couldn’t get enough of. They were total gay anthems and I loved them. Ashamedly, one ending up being a remix of “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis and the other was even more embarassing - “Pocket Full of Sunshine” by Natasha Beddingfield. I hate the originals but with the right beat behind them and the entire song cut down to a repeating chorus… it works. So, here they are, they gayest songs I’ll probably ever post. And I don’t mean gay like homosexual. I have morals. I mean gay like retarded.

Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (Moto Blanco Radio Edit)

Natasha Beddingfield - Pocket Full of Sunshine (Johnny Vicious Warehouse Mix)

Enjoy!

Essential Saturday Mix

This one comes from Dev79. I had a little trouble finding out who he was, but found this on lastfm:

Dev79, otherwise known as Gair Marking, has been on the scene strong since ‘99. Dev79 is the full on producer, dj, promoter that you need and want. His brash performances keep dancefloors raw and sweaty throughout Philadelphia and beyond. With a deep selection of underground urban sounds you’ll find him droppin grime, hip hop, dancehall, ghettotech, and more. Dev79 has left his mark on a number of releases over the years from labels such as Slit Jockey, Sonicterror, Zenapolae, and Sozialistischer Plattenbau, among others. Be on the lookout for more street bass bangers from the man.

This is a sick mix. Check it out here. Happy Saturday!

STA from Canada

Photobucket

Sta is Stu Freen, a young feller from Canada with a great ear and a penchant for cut-up beats, vocals and SLAMMING basslines. He gained notoriety practically over night after passing around his remix of Timbaland’s ‘Give it to Me’ to a few friends, who passed it to a few friends, who passed it to a few friends, and VOILA! Unlike these assholes, who claimed their parents ‘bought’ them a record deal for christmas, some people gain a fanbase with good old fashioned talent.

Check out Sta’s ‘Give it to me’ remix here, and if you like what you hear, download his 40-minute dj set here. It’s my absolute favorite (it’s got lots of ping pong ball samples. there’s really nothing cooler than ping pong).
